Inside Automated Lith Film Processing.

The nature of lith development is discussed and related to problems of developer stability, aeration and adjacency effects. These problems of lith development are then related to practical problems encountered in machine processing of lith films. The design of a system for machine processing is discussed to show how, with the use of system design, a family of films and a new developer, all tailored for machine processing, can solve the problems that currently hamper automated lith film processing.
