Summary:

A new system has been developed for specifying and controlling color separations which greatly increases one's assurance of obtaining proper tone reproduction and color balance in process color work. Although the main purpose of such a system is to help the beginning worker in the field to achieve acceptable results without the costly and time-consuming trial-and-error period, it may prove attractive to the more experienced worker as well. Special guides and computers have been designed which simplify the determination of the conditions required to maintain the process under preselected controls. A complete description of the system, along with an explanation of the computer principles, is given.
