After a brief review of the principles of the Digital Computer-Scanner and a status report on its present state of development, a step-by-step description is given of the operator functions. In this description the emphasis is on the basic operator skills required and the potentialities for the development of additional skills 1115 concluded that the basic skills may be acquired in several weeks of training These basic skills will probably result in higher quality than is realizable with current techniques. Additional skills, transcending those in current use, may be developed over a period of a year or more.
