Summary:

One of the problems encountered in color reproduction processes is that of rendition of proper saturation. The following report aims at illustrating the effect obtained by altering the gamma of the separations. For the purpose of this investigation the tone reproduction was isolated from the study of the saturation control by a white light mask, so that the brightness of the transparency was reduced to approximately the same level. Halftones were made from the separations, and prints produced by offset printing.
