A Study of Heatset Web Offset Hydrocarbon Emissions in Metropolitan Washington, D.C.

Details:

Year: 1982
Pages: 25

Summary:

A study was conducted to determine the extent to which hydrocarbon emissions from heatset, web offset lithographic printing affected the overall environment in the metropolitan Washington, D.C. area, and the extent to which that problem would be alleviated by measures described in one definition of Reasonably Available Control Technology proposed by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Statistics indicate that major portions of heatset web offset emissions are already under control, and do not contribute significantly to hydrocarbon emissions in this area. Application of the proposed Control Technology would not substantially after this situation.
