A Numerical System for the Analysis and Pre-Visualization of a Color Reproduction System

To determine the function of each variable of a color reproduction system a series of equations that represent the transfer functions of each element of the process are created using curve fitting techniques. Through the use of these formulas, the end result of changes in any given element can be predicted by substituting the variables for one or more of the elements. The recent availability of powerful microcomputers at low cost make such a system implementable.
