The Role of Wetting in Printing

An investigation of the role which wetting plays in ink transfer is presented. Both a theoretical approach as well as practical data from both lithographic and flexographic laboratory tests made in both types of printing are correlated with the surface energy measurements in an attempt to correlate wetting phenomena to the results obtained in the printing processes.
