Summary:
The Agfa Verimask Color Correction Method, using the Agfa Verimask Film, is a single one-stage masking process offering a multi-stage masking effect which includes at the same time undercolor removal. Your present equipment for exposing and developing is sufficient, and there is no necessity for additions. Only a transparent gray scale is applied onto the original for preparing the mask. No color chemicals are required as only regular metal-hydroquinone type developer, such as Agfatol developer, is used. No calculations are necessary to find the correct exposure for the Verimask Film as all values can be obtained from diagrams provided in a standard system. The wet processing including developing, fixing and final washing time takes only 5 minutes. Drying takes about another 5 minutes. As this silver mask is neutral gray, evaluation is very simple. Newton-rings are prevented as Verimask Film is provided with anti-Newton layers on both sides. Several originals, either high or low contrast, can be gathered.
