The advantages of color negative over color positive films for newspaper reproduction are reviewed and the mechanism of color correction in Kodak Ektacolor Film is described. The properties of a new Kodak experimental panchromatic paper, Kind 1439, are discussed. Recommendations are given for a reproduction system using these materials and designed specifically for run-of-paper color printing.
