They say “everything’s bigger in Texas,” and this year’s inaugural PRINTING United (October 23 – 25; Dallas, Texas) will certainly hold true to that mantra. But the even bigger news is our industry's future has a chance to be part of the event — on our dime!
SGIA is looking for 10 graphic communication students — studying at an SGIA Educational Institution Member school — to apply to be a “Student Ambassador” at PRINTING United. With support of a travel grant, selected students will attend the event as SGIA’s guests and learn about new printing technologies, access a variety of informational sessions and connect with industry experts — all while seeing the broad scope of the printing industry and what it has to offer for their career.
PRINTING United is an experience to behold, from the expansive and comprehensive displays of printing technology and supplies and hands-on demonstrations, to education and programming from industry leaders. This opportunity allows students to attend first-rate educational sessions led by inspiring and successful professionals; witness events and competitions that are held on the show floor; engage and collaborate with industry-focused peers and leaders; and so much more!
SGIA has long since recognized the critical role educational institutions play in providing a skilled trade workforce, which is a catalyst for funding this student opportunity — not only to develop the next generational workforce, but also to provide students with access to resources to develop a successful future in our industry.
