Fairfax, Virginia — The deadline to enter the Academy of Screen and Digital Printing Technologies’ Tom Frecska Student Printing Competition is fast approaching. To date, submissions have arrived from all corners of the globe — Colombia to Australia, and Germany, too! Highly sought after by graphic arts students, the Academy awards honor superior imaging work within a variety of categories. Entrants represent secondary (high school and vocational) students and post-secondary (technical school, college or university) students. All entries must be received by July 31.
Instructors who hold an active educational membership with SGIA are invited to submit samples printed by students during the 2013–2014 school year, within a variety of categories:
- Banners
- Decals/Pressure Sensitive
- Glass/Mirrors, Flat
- Finished Garments (Light)
- Metal Signs/Products, and many more
