Epson Launches New Wide-Format SureColor Screen Print Edition Printers

Long Beach, California – Jan. 22, 2016 – Epson today announced two new graphics solutions targeting screen printers, the 17-inch SureColor® P800 Screen Print Edition and the 24-inch SureColor T3270 Screen Print Edition. Building on award-winning technology featured in the current Epson SureColor P800 desktop photo printer and SureColor T3270 large-format color printer, the new screen print editions come bundled with AccuRIP Black Pearl SE™ software and Epson Screen Positive Film to produce high-quality film positives used to burn screens for the traditional screen printing process.  “Epson is committed to bringing the most advanced printing solutions to market for proofing,  graphic arts, photography and screen printing professionals,” said Matt Kochanowski, product manager, Professional Imaging, Epson America, Inc. “The new SureColor P800 and T3270 Screen Print Editions combine our most sophisticated graphics printing technologies available with the powerful, intuitive AccuRIP Black Pearl SE software, resulting in amazing proofs, as well as exceptional quality screen positives at incredibly fast speeds.” Leveraging genuine Epson UltraChrome® HD Ink and UltraChrome XD pigment inks respectively, the Epson SureColor P800SP and T3270SP provide a complete film positive printing solution. The new printers produce high-quality solid and halftone films up to 65 lines-per-inch (lpi) with high UV opacity and an exceptional black density up to 4.0 Dmax – all at best in class speeds, up to 24 films per hour with the SC-T3270SP1. And, because these printers use a full color ink set, screen printers are able to produce high quality comps and even graphics with the same printer used to produce screen positive films.2 “AccuRIP Black Pearl SE coupled with Epson printing performance, film, and ink, deliver a quality, easy-to-use output solution to the screen print industry,” said Charlie Facini, CEO, Freehand Graphics, Inc., New York-based screen printing business delivering software and pre-press products for more than three decades. “The team at Freehand is excited to be an integral part of delivering these special edition screen printers to users that appreciate the value of a fast, professional turnkey solution.” More About the SureColor P800 Screen Print Edition Designed for professional use, the SureColor P800 Screen Print Edition is a full 17-inch wide borderless printer capable of high-volume printing with minimal downtime for maintenance.
