Updated OSHA Eye and Face Protection Rule Effective April 25, 2016

A final rule revising workplace eye and face protection equipment requirements take effect on April 25, 2016.  This update is another in a series of non-controversial rule updates that align OSHA’s regulations with recent consensus standards instead of decades old guidelines.  The new change adopts a 2010 consensus standard, ANSI/ISEA Z87.1-2010.  OSHA already requires that personal protective equipment meet the requirements of 2003 and 1998 consensus standards.   Sign up  to receive the most up-to-date regulatory and legislative information about specialty imaging.
