Recommendations for pressroom lighting are contained in our publication "Printing Plant Layout and Facility Design." In the pressroom a uniform 60!-70 foot-candles (645-755 lux) of illumination are recommended. It is not practical to illuminate the pressroom to meet the ISO color viewing standard--light booths should be used for critical color viewing.
