The new certificate has been amended to contain the following statement: “no materials used to replace the regulated chemicals are present in a quantity or manner that creates a hazard as great or greater than the hazard created by the regulated chemicals.”
The 19 states that have adopted the legislation include: California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin.
