Equipment that inserts paper tabs in the delivery pile are regularly used for batch counting; however, tabbing equipment isn't 100% accurate because of operators pulling sheets and other reasons. Often the batches can be plus or minus one or two sheets, meaning that you'd have to set the tabber for more sheets than the amount required if an undercount was unacceptable. Accuracy issues are worse when tabbers are used for batches of fewer than 25. Here are two options for greater precision: use a jogger with a scale to weigh sheets prior to cutting or, for the utmost in precision, invest in a stand-alone sheet counter.
U.S. International Trade Commission Approves Tariffs Targeting Aluminum Lithographic Printing Plates from China and Japan
On October 22, 2024, the U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC) determined that a U.S. industry is materially injured by imports of aluminum lithographic printing plates from China and Japan. The U.S. Department of Commerce determined that the printing plates are being sold at less than fair value and subsidized by the government of the People’s Republic of China.
