Alder Color Solutions is proud to announce that their newly developed product, the Remote Visual Press Check, received a coveted PRINTING United Alliance 2021 Pinnacle Product Award for Digital Capture System and QC. The winning entry can be found online at the Pinnacle Product Awards Gallery.
Open to all PRINTING United Alliance supplier members, the Pinnacle Product Award competition evaluates products that are, or will be, available for sale in 2021. A highly qualified panel of judges from across the printing industry evaluated the annual contest’s 160-plus entries in more than 58 categories spanning analog, digital, output, and non-output technologies.
“Congratulations to Dan Gillespie and the Alder Color Solutions team for this innovative and exciting new product. I am proud to be part of a team that produces groundbreaking technology!” states Marty Davis, president of Alder Color Solutions.
“Using my years of color management and proofing experience, and my passion for photography, I’ve developed an ultra color-accurate digital capture system to complete the digital loop for virtual proofing and press checks,” says Dan Gillespie, director of technical services at Alder Color Solutions.
The newly developed Remote Visual Press Check allows for ultra color-accurate digital image capturing, for use in soft-proofing. With color validation results averaging under 1 Delta E, printers can confidently deliver digital renderings of their print jobs with the highest accuracy possible. The system pairs with ICScolor’s ProofCheck viewing system with RemoteDirector software, to offer a complete solution. Working together, the systems allow printers to communicate their printing capabilities visually without needing the client to be physically present.
“One of the things I like best about our competition is that it is juried, and judges are basing their decisions on objective criteria. And with outstanding entries like the Remove Visual Press Check, they had their work cut out for them,” says Ray Weiss, director of digital print programs, PRINTING United Alliance.
“The Pinnacle Product Award competition represents the best of the best among commercial hardware, software, consumables, and industrial and screen equipment,” Weiss says. “Congratulations to all the winners.”
Alder Color Solutions is now currently offering live demos for the Press Check and ProofCheck systems.
