The Alliance highlights women in the printing industry through its Women in Print Alliance advisory group, special podcast presentations, dedicated editorial, and enriching content throughout the month of March


Fairfax, Virginia — PRINTING United Alliance, the most comprehensive member-based printing and graphic arts association in the U.S., is proud to honor women in the printing industry by celebrating Women’s History Month. Throughout the month of March, the Alliance will be highlighting women’s stories of success, achievements, and accomplishments across its various channels, including planned daily podcast presentations and dedicated editorial, and through its dedicated Women in Print Alliance advisory group, one of the many committees represented in the Alliance’s volunteer leadership realm.

Special Women’s History Month Podcast Series


A special podcast series dedicated to Women’s History Month will be available throughout the month of March on Printing Impressions, Apple, and Spotify. Follow along as NAPCO Editorial Director Denise M. Gustavson speaks with the following inspiring women in printing:

Dedicated Editorial Celebrating Women in Printing


The Apparelist
To celebrate Women’s History Month, PRINTING United Alliance’s newest brand, the Apparelist, speaks with women from the apparel decorating world, bringing to light their unique voices and engaging in conversations with the community through a video and article series. Throughout the month, the Apparelist will speak with women about their experiences in the apparel decorating industry, what their professional challenges have been, as well as their victories and success stories. By highlighting these stories, the aim is to foster a sense of connection, offer advice to other women working in the industry, and further the diversity that’s already at play.

Printing Impressions 
Printing Impressions will be presenting a series of videos featuring successful women in the commercial printing sector, including a female web offset press operator and pressroom supervisor at book printer Worzalla in Wisconsin.

Packaging Impressions 
Packaging Impressions will feature a collection of weekly profiles about inspirational women in package printing who contribute to the package printing industry directly as part of printing organizations or as print buyers, prepress leaders, and more.

In-plant Impressions 
In-plant Impressions leads Women’s History Month with an article detailing some of the notable women leaders in the in-plant industry. Editor-in-Chief Bob Neubauer is also writing a special piece citing the strong role women play at in-plants and showcasing more than two dozen profiles of women who manage in-plants.
